EchoCardiogram Testing

EchoCardiogram & Stress EchoCardiogram:

What is Stress Echocardiography?

Echocardiography is a method of studying the structure and function of the heart by measuring sound waves bounced off the heart to produce an Echogram of the heart. Stress Echocardiography is a non-invasive, highly accurate and quick way to assess how well the heart copes under physical stress. If the heart becomes short of blood during exertion it may mean there is a blockage in a vessel supplying blood to the heart, an indicator of heart disease.

How do I know if I need the test?

You will be advised by our doctors whether you need a Stress Echocardiogram. However, Stress Echocardiography may detect signs of heart disease which goes undetected by standard Echocardiography.
